Acquire the app

Most photo booth apps are made for personal use, not for hundreds of photo-lovin' guests. Simple Booth Event Edition is the exact opposite. It was designed to run for hours at live events and make setting up a DIY photo booth fun and easy. It's available on the App Store for a little sugar.

Made for
DIY Events

We designed Event Edition for do-it-yourself events like weddings, parties and birthdays. And we’ve tested it at thousands of places. The consensus? It rocks. Your guests will love it.

with features

Pre-select GIFs or choose from a variety of traditional photo layout options. Guests can add their own style by picking a photo filter or changing layouts with the swipe of a finger.

Event Edition comes loaded with the perfect customization options for small events. Choose your background colors, modify sharing options, set your own hashtag and more.

Your Own
Online Gallery

You and your guests can relive all of the excitement in your event’s very own online gallery! Your gallery includes the #hashtag of your choice and icons to enable guests to easily share to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

In need of a traditional photo booth experience? We’ve thought of that too. Event Edition offers printing via AirPrint and comes loaded with automatic two-up formatting for vertical photo strips.

Install the iPad

There are a lot of great cases you can slap your iPad into. The key is to get one that can be mounted. The iShot case has a clamp on the back that can easily be attached to the pole on a light stand. We like to pair this with Bestlight, which allows you to adjust both brightness and color temperature. We also recommend using the light with a Mini Ball Head for extra flexibility when making adjustments.

By the way, we know that the Light Stand we’re recommending is mega tall. Shorter light stands may not have a riser that’s thick enough to support the iShot case.

Bring your backdrop

A nice backdrop can be as simple as a plain wall or a roll of paper. Our favorite party trick is to just work with the surroundings and point the camera into the party. It adds energy to the background and makes all kinds of new opportunities for photo bombs, which are always exciting.

Seamless Paper

Procure the printer

Everyone loves a photo strip to take home for the fridge. The Canon Selphy CP1200 is a tiny wireless printer that can print a 4x6 in about a minute and a half from your iPad. When you use it with Simple Booth Event Edition app you can two-up photo strips on each sheet for double the pleasure! Cut your 4x6 straight down the middle with a mini paper trimmer and you'll each have a copy.
