When you’re managing entertainment across dozens of wedding venues, adding a new service isn’t always as simple as it sounds. Every new offering has to work without adding staff, be free of constant oversight, and avoid new risk in an already complex operation. The math has to make sense for operators and couples alike.
That was the challenge facing CoHost Entertainment, the in-house entertainment provider for Walters Wedding Estates. Walters is one of Texas and Georgia’s largest all-inclusive venue portfolios, spanning 39 locations and thousands of events each year.
When couples started requesting photo booths consistently, CoHost didn’t just need a booth. They needed a premium photo experience that could run itself.

That’s when CoHost found Simple Booth HALO®. Designed for professional event environments, Simple Booth combines studio-quality lighting and a polished guest-facing touchscreen with cloud-based software that manages everything from custom event setup to instant photo delivery.
In 2025, HALO rentals translated to nearly $600,000 in revenue for CoHost Entertainment. In a single year, that’s more than 20x their annual software cost and more than 4x their original hardware investment.
Crazy Not to Offer It
According to Kendra Moss, Director of Entertainment at CoHost, the focus is always on making the experience seamless for couples. The question is, “How can we take care of our couples and make the process as easy as possible for them?”
That philosophy guides how the team evaluates new services. When photo booths started showing up in nearly every wedding inquiry, couples’ expectations were clear.
“It was such a highly requested item that it would have been crazy not to offer it.”
– Kendra Moss, Director of Entertainment at CoHost
She was right. Since launching the program, nearly 1.4 million guests have stepped in front of a HALO booth across the Walters portfolio.
CoHost implemented a model where HALO units stay onsite at each venue. The booths are managed in-house alongside their existing DJ and lighting services, with no third-party vendor coordination required.

Simplicity Was a Core Requirement
For a company managing nearly 40 venues, a photo booth offering had to be foolproof. The team knew they needed something that could largely take care of itself because anything that required babysitting would fall apart at scale.
With Simple Booth, setup happens in two quick steps. Before event day, the CoHost team logs into the Simple Booth dashboard and builds presets for each couple: their name, monogram, and selected backdrop. One area manager can prepare multiple upcoming events at the same time. The software scales as easily as the program itself.
“All in all, the entire process for us takes about five minutes.”
– Kendra Moss, Director of Entertainment at CoHost
On event day, the DJ sets up the HALO hardware as part of their normal prep. Once the preset is launched, the booth is ready for guests.
Guests take photos using HALO’s integrated studio lighting and touchscreen interface and receive them instantly via text or email. “Once it’s set up, the entire process kind of runs on itself,” Kendra emphasized.

A Popular Addition to Wedding Packages
As the service gained traction, photo booths became more than just an optional upgrade. They are now included in bundled entertainment packages alongside DJs and lighting, helping couples simplify their planning process.
Even when every guest has a smartphone, photo booths remain one of the most requested parts of a reception. On average, three people appear in every CoHost photo. Friends and family jump in together without anyone needing to step away and take the picture.
Guests can also preview themselves on the screen before the photo is captured. “You can see exactly what the photo will look like before the countdown,” Kendra highlighted.

CoHost’s HALO program runs on digital delivery alone. Guests receive their photos instantly via text or email and can share them before they’ve even left the reception. Across the portfolio, guests have clicked the share button more than 185,000 times, generating nearly 4.8 million views on photos.
That engagement drives real results. In 2025, about 36% of couples chose to add a photo booth, resulting in 913 rentals across the Walters portfolio.
Note: Simple Booth offers printing for venues that want to offer it, which CoHost is considering as a future add-on. The program’s success thus far just proves you don’t have to start there to succeed.
A Partnership That Supports Growth
CoHost started with 20 HALO units in 2021. By early 2026, they’re at 47, representing more than $100,000 in hardware investment across the Walters portfolio. And they’re still adding. Over the past year, they’ve brought on a new unit nearly every month.
That kind of continuous expansion only works when the vendor relationship behind it does too. For Kendra, the partnership has been just as important as the product itself. “You guys are coming to me with resolutions before I even come to you with a problem,” Kendra noted.

When equipment needs attention, Simple Booth handles repairs directly. CoHost ships a unit in, gets it back fast, and operations keep moving across every location. No gaps or reason to slow down.
At this scale, a vendor you can trust isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s what makes expanding entertainment experiences possible.
Scaling Your Own Operation
For entertainment teams at any scale, the math is straightforward.
Add Simple Booth HALO to an existing DJ and lighting workflow and revenue grows without adding headcount or a dedicated attendant. Build it into your workflow and every event runs the same way, every time. Bundle it with your existing packages and adoption scales effortlessly.
“If you want a good relationship with a reliable company, that’s Simple Booth.”
– Kendra Moss, Director of Entertainment at CoHost
Walters and CoHost didn’t set out to build a photo booth program. They set out to take better care of their couples, and the results took care of themselves.

Simple Booth is also keeping pace with what couples want next. AI-powered experiences are already part of the platform, giving operators a way to offer guests something they haven’t seen before without adding complexity to the operation.
Our team works with venues, DJs, and entertainment companies of all sizes. If you’re looking to add a photo booth to your existing operation, we can help you build something that fits the way you already work.
